Our Commitment to Safeguarding
Preventing harm, doing no harm, and who this commitment covers
Safeguarding means taking reasonable and appropriate steps to prevent and respond to harm that may arise through participation in, or contact with, the Summit and its activities.
We are committed to the principle of “do no harm” and to creating an environment in which people can participate with dignity, safety and respect.
This commitment applies to:
- Summit participants and delegates;
- speakers, facilitators and moderators;
- young people and other participants who may be vulnerable to harm;
- people with lived experience of mental health conditions;
- volunteers and event staff;
- organizing and scientific committee members;
- partners, contractors and vendors;
- media representatives and photographers;
- visitors and other individuals participating in Summit activities; and
- participants engaging with Summit activities online or through digital platforms.
Safeguarding is considered across the planning, delivery and follow-up of Summit activities, including in-person events, workshops, online activities, communications, photography, video, social media and other digital engagement.
